Admissions

Applications should be made in the normal way to the Admissions Team at Southampton City Council, under the Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme, using the ST1 form available from Primary Schools, SCC or online.

Please find below the Admissions Policy for 2025-2026:

In Year Transfers

All in-year applications should be completed via the online portal. Further information for parents and the link to this portal can be found here:

Admissions Waiting List

Once an admissions application has been processed by the Local Authority, they will send the details to the school. If the Year Group is full, the student will be added to the waiting list. Once a space becomes available, we will apply our admissions criteria to identify who should be offered the place. This means, for example, a student who has a sibling at the school will get first priority. The admissions criteria is in the Admissions Policy.

Offered a Place?

If your child is offered a place at the school, our in-year admissions process is as follows. The student and parents will be invited into the school for an admissions meeting. During this meeting, the Deputy Headteacher will explain everything the student – and family – need to know about joining the school.  Key members of staff will be introduced, especially the Head of Year and the Head of Year Support. If a child is new to the country, then we would expect to see some formal identification and some proof of address for the family.

Enrollment Form

Once offered a place, and before being formally taken on roll, parents must complete a form, by clicking on this link:   https://forms.gle/BUUn2NE5AdLDqSS1A. This includes questions on student details, parental permissions and contact details.

First Day Nerves?  No Need!

On their first day, students will arrive a little later – 9am – where they will be met in the school’s main reception by the Head of Year Support. An Admissions Buddy – a carefully selected student from the same year group – will support a new starter. They will look after them and make sure they know where to go and when. During this time, the new starter will follow their buddy’s timetable, then after a couple of days they will be provided with their own.

We pride ourselves on supporting new students and their families, as we welcome them to the Regents Park community.

All in-year admissions are supported with an Admissions Buddy
