📚 PAIRED READING DURING TUTOR TIME!
This morning our library was full of focus and teamwork as we held a special paired reading session during tutor time.
Year 8 and Year 9 students had the opportunity to read aloud to our Year 10 students, building their confidence, fluency and communication skills. It was fantastic to see students supporting one another and creating such a positive reading culture across year groups.
Well done to everyone involved - we’re proud of your enthusiasm and teamwork! 📖✨

BIKE / SCOOTER SAFETY 🚨⚠️
Please have discussions with your children regarding bike / scooter safety. This is especially important now that it is darker earlier. Some students are not wearing protective helmets, have no lights and are not observing general road safety.
Regents Park is in a busy area with a lot of traffic, especially around school closure time and we have had an increase in calls from the public about near-misses.
Sometimes young people think they are invincible, but sadly road accidents can cause serious injuries.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and talk to your child about road safety.

🎓 YEAR 10 VISIT TO ST JOHN'S COLLEGE, OXFORD UNIVERSITY 🎓
On Tuesday 11th November, a group of our Year 10 students had the fantastic opportunity to visit St John's College, Oxford University.
The aim of the trip was to raise awareness and develop key skills for future university applications, particularly to Oxford.
Students enjoyed a full and inspiring day which included:
📚 An introductory talk about studying at Oxford
🍽️ Lunch in the college dining hall
🏛️ A guided tour of the university
💬 A Q&A session with current students
🧠 A critical thinking workshop in the afternoon
It was a wonderful experience that gave our students a real insight into university life and the pathways available to them. A huge thank you to St John’s College for hosting us and making the day so enriching! 🌟
