European Day of Languages

Mrs Sturdy has delivered assemblies throughout this week on European Day of Languages which is celebrated annually on 26th September.

Students heard about how diverse Europe is, not only in terms of language but also culture, architecture and music. Being able to communicate in another language, also helps support the British Values of tolerance and mutual respect. Students were very engaged in a quiz about the languages spoken by students and staff in the Regents Park Community. For example, did you know Mrs Northfield has a GCSE in Mandarin? Or that Mrs Amos can speak a little Greek? Or that there are 39 different languages spoken by students in our community? Regents Park is proud to be such a diverse place where different languages are celebrated.
