Year 11 Future Steps
Year 11 Future Steps - https://www.sunoutreach.org/resources/future-steps/
The Southern Universities Network (SUN) is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new online chat platform to support Year 11 students throughout the summer months. The SUN and Future Steps supports students from Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight as they move onto their next steps.
You, as a parent or carer, can also access the online chat platform to ask questions to help support your young person with their future decisions.
What is Future Steps?
Future Steps is an online chat platform offering impartial online chat support, dedicated to supporting young people during the pandemic and over the summer holidays when schools and colleges are closed. Young people can use the chat platform to get advice about their next steps, or seek reassurance about their chosen options, whether that’s moving on to sixth form or college or starting an apprenticeship. There is also an option to speak to some undergraduate students currently studying at local universities.
Online Chat Support
Online chat platform linking students with current undergraduates, college Progression Mentors and qualified Careers Advisers from across the SUN region.
Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 11:00 - 13:00
Current undergraduate students and college Progression Mentors
Tuesdays and Thursdays 14:00 – 16:00
Qualified Careers Advisers and college Progression Mentors
Questions can be asked at any time, day or night, they may not be answered instantly but one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible and you’ll be notified (by email or SMS) when they do.
Support for You
Please encourage your young person to use the chat platform if they have any questions about their future. Additionally, if you have any questions, feel free to log in yourself and chat to one of our advisers - we’re here to help!
